How to increase the Server Timeouts in Windows Mail (Vista) when Windows Mail keeps on downloading the same messages
Solution
You would increase the Server Timeout feature in Windows Mail when Windows Mail keeps on downloading the same messages.
To Increase the Server Timeout you will need to do the following:
1)Open Windows Mail
2)Click on the
Tools
menu
3)From the
Tools
menu click on
"Accounts"
4)Select your email account from the list in the dialog box, and click on the "Properties" button
5)Click on the "Advanced" Tab
6)
You will see a section that says
"Server Timeouts"
in this section move the slider bar all the way to
Long
7)
Click on the
"Apply"
button and then click on the
"OK"
button
8)
Click on the
"Close"
button
9)Restart Windows Mail
